Do I need a fishing license?
Yes — guests should bring their own valid North Carolina fishing license. Licenses are quick to purchase online from the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.
How many people can come?
The boat fishes up to 3 to 4 people. Trips are well suited for families, friends, first-time anglers, and small groups.
What's included in the trip?
Rods, tackle, bait, fuel, ice, and water are all included. You bring snacks, drinks, and your fishing license.
How long are the trips?
We offer a half-day inshore charter (4 to 5 hours) for $500 and a full-day inshore charter (8 hours) for $750. Morning and afternoon departures are available depending on the season and conditions.
Where do we fish?
We fish the Pamlico River, Pamlico Sound, Neuse River, and nearby backwaters and big-water grounds. Launch locations vary based on conditions and where the fish are biting.
Is there a discount for military or first responders?
Yes. Champs Coastal Charters offers a discount on all trips for military and first responders.
How do I hold my date / what is the deposit?
A 50% deposit reserves your trip. The easiest way to book is online through the booking widget on our Trips & Pricing page, or by texting Captain Chandler at (252) 565-2306.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is bad, we'll reschedule your trip. If rescheduling isn't an option, you're entitled to a full refund of your deposit.
Can I keep my catch?
Yes — within what's in season, guests are welcome to keep their catch. We don't offer fish-cleaning services, so guests handle cleaning their own catch.
